Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration 2016

Please join us for Friends School of Minnesota’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. This annual all-school event explores the Quaker values of integrity and justice through a variety of songs, dances, and multimedia and spoken word performances.

  • Friday, January 15 at 7:00pm (students arrive at 6:30pm)
  • at the O’Shaughnessy theatre on the St. Catherine’s University campus.
  • This event is free and open to the public. 

WHERE

The O’Shaughnessy theatre is located on the St. Paul Campus of St. Catherine University on Randolph Avenue between Fairview and Cleveland Avenues. As you enter the campus through Gate 3 off Randolph Avenue, it is the first building on your right.

The yellow stage door entrance is located next to the loading dock.Please use caution when dropping off students. The area may be snowy and busy with traffic. 
Free parking is available on the east side of the campus off of Fairview Avenue. Drivers should use Gate 4.

STUDENT ARRIVAL

Student should be dropped off at the yellow stage door of O’Shaughnessy at 6:30pm, then proceed to their assigned waiting rooms for warm-ups and final stage instructions. FSM staff will be at the stage door to help direct students and traffic. Once inside the theatre, additional FSM staff will help guide students to the right location.
Please remember to allow driving time for inclement weather and traffic delays.

DRESS

Students are expected to wear all black clothing and shoes. We encourage students to wear clothing that is simple and free from logos, text, or any other printing. Long-sleeved shirts and pants are encouraged.
