The Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District invites area residents interested in local water management to apply for one of the open seats on the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC is comprised of volunteers with a shared commitment to preserving clean water. Members strengthen the ties between RWMWD and the community by bringing forward resident ideas and concerns. They provide guidance on the Watershed District vision, review plans and projects, support education and outreach efforts, and plan the Watershed Excellence Awards.

New members can expect a welcoming environment of fellow residents who are also passionate about water concerns in their community. There are also many opportunities to learn how stormwater is managed and water quality is maintained throughout the watershed district. Members are appointed by the Board of Managers to two-year terms and are expected to attend regular meetings around 6 times a year. No previous experience with water management or water quality is needed to apply. Applicants that reside within the Watershed District boundaries are preferred.
