Parks and trails

  • Parks and trails are open to the public.
  • Restrooms at high-traffic locations are open and cleaned daily. Portable toilets are available at locations where restrooms have not reopened yet.
  • Drinking fountains remain off.
  • Playgrounds reopened July 2, aligning with state and federal guidelines for public use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Equipment is not cleaned or sanitized and residents should use playgrounds at their own discretion.
  • Lake Owasso County Park is closed due to construction. 
  • Staff is brainstorming ways to implement virtual programming.
  • Picnic shelter and pavilion reservations are open for groups of 25 or fewer people. In alignment with Executive Order 20-62, weddings, funerals or planned religious services may host groups of 250 or fewer guests.

Tamarack Nature Center

  • Trails remain open.
  • Outdoor portable toilets are available.
  • The Nature Center building is closed.
  • Discovery Hollow is open, aligning with state and federal guidelines for public use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Surfaces are not cleaned or sanitized and residents should use playgrounds at their own discretion.
  • Virtual programming is offered, including DIY Day Camp.
  • In-person programs have been modified to follow public health guidelines and are subject to change or cancellation based on the status of the pandemic. Tamarack Nature Center staff will be in contact with program registrants in the event that a program is impacted.
