Introduced in 2015, Keystone’s Foodmobile Program is a mobile food shelf service.  This innovative model brings food shelf services directly to people who have transportation barriers or who live in neighborhoods that lack access to full grocery stores. Our Foodmobiles travel throughout St. Paul and the northern suburbs of Ramsey County to bring nutritious food to people in need.

HOW IT WORKS

Our mobile food shelf has refrigerated and frozen compartments so that it can provide the same variety of foods as our three food shelf locations. Keystone strategically partners with organizations to offer distributions in areas of high need. Foodmobile participants can easily walk to distributions which saves time, money and stress for families with small children, people with mobility issues or people who have barriers getting to our food shelf locations. Today the Foodmobile offers 30+ distributions every month.

Access Foodmobile Services

For people needing emergency food support we are pleased to offer public Foodmobile distribution events. Please note that the Foodmobile is a Keystone food shelf and thus participants can only access services once a month.

New participants to Keystone should be prepared to fill out a short intake form on your first visit. Participants are encouraged to bring your own shopping bags. If you have any questions about the Foodmobile, please contact us.

FOODMOBILE DISTRIBUTION DURING COVID 19

We are working with our current Foodmobile site partners to create a Foodmobile delivery model that adheres to CDC and Minnesota Department of Health Guidelines to allow social distancing for participants, staff and volunteers. We appreciate your assistance and patience as we all strive to keep each other healthy during this time.

During this time, participants will receive shelf stable items, produce, milk, meat and other staples via the Foodmobile in a pre-packed model. We can accommodate dietary needs and choice in some ways but we appreciate your understanding as we navigate this safe, efficient service delivery.

We will be adding more public distributions and information as soon as it is scheduled so please check back frequently.
