COUNCIL APPOINTS RESIDENTS TO ADVISORY COMMITTEES

In February, the Metropolitan Council made appointments to three regional advisory groups: Equity Advisory Committee, Transportation Advisory Board, and Transportation Accessibility Advisory Committee.

The council relies on these committees to help develop solutions to regional challenges and bring diverse perspectives to inform our policymaking and operations.

Equity Advisory Committee

Members of the Equity Advisory Committee discuss regional policy.This committee advises the council in its work to advance equity in the metro region. It helps ensure that residents and communities are full partners in making the decisions that affect them. The goal is to create more equitable outcomes for the people who live and work here.

Eight of the appointees represent a geographic district; their terms run through January 2024:
