Household hazardous waste

  • Household Hazardous Waste Collection sites will continue to operate during posted hours until further notice. When you load materials in your vehicle, please load them in your trunk and not in the passenger compartment. When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle and staff will ask for place of residency and will unload items from your trunk.
  • The Product Reuse Center at the year-round household hazardous waste collection site in Saint Paul has been closed until further notice.

Yard waste

  • Ramsey County Yard Waste and Food Scraps collection sites will continue to operate during posted hours until further notice. Please remember to practice safe social distancing and stay at least six feet away from others. 

Food scraps

  • Food scraps collection sites will remain open until further notice. 

Household recycling

  • Household recycling will continue to be collected, following regular pickup schedules. For more information, contact your city or your recycling service provider, or call 651-633-3279 (EASY).

Medicine collection

  • Medicine collection sites remain open, except for North St. Paul and White Bear Lake.

Licensing and inspections

  • Licensing and inspections for businesses remaining open will continue. Some routine inspections may be postponed or be conducted electronically.

Compost

  • The year-round compost bin pick-up option at the Environmental Health office in Maplewood has been suspended until further notice. 

Radon

  • Radon kits can be purchased by sending a completed order form with a check or money order for $2 to the Environmental Health office at  2785 White Bear Ave, Suite 350, Maplewood, MN 55109. Purchased test kits will be mailed to customers’ homes.Walk-in sales have been suspended until further notice.

Fix-it Clinics

  • Fix-it Clinics have been canceled through at least September.

Event recycling container lending program

  • Ramsey County’s lending program for event recycling containers has been suspended until further notice.

Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy Center
