This award-winning film traces the success of a coalition of civil rights movement veterans and young activists seeking to transform US foreign policy towards South Africa. Over the course of 1977-1986, this movement’s use of boycotts, divestment, and sanctions led corporations, universities, and governments to end their support of the apartheid regime, which, coupled with on-the-ground struggles in South Africa, changed the course of history.
