Joe Frawley This address once contained a Victorian house that dated before 1882. The home had been destroyed by fire and lay vacant for a couple years before the lot was purchased by Joe Frawley. Joe and his son, Kevin, built this dome home in 1984, the only home of its kind in Dayton's Bluff. The Frawley's would highly recommend that this change, though. Their company called Energy Structures, Inc., manufactures dome kits. No one would believe this structure has 1450 square feet in its three levels. The dome home base is made up of ten flat walls, each 14-1/2 inches thick. The structure has a twenty-nine foot diameter, which fits nicely on this forty foot lot. A dome home is very cost effective. Not only does it cost less to build than regular structures, it is very efficient to heat, averaging less than $20.00 a month. For the safety conscious homeowner, Joe believes he has the answer. Tornado, earthquake, hurricane - no matter what the storm, this dome home won't blow away or collapse! |
