#4    397 Bates Avenue
Will be Rehabbed by Upper Swede Hollow Neighborhoods Association*

This duplex was built in 1908 for the William W. Dunn family. William was the attorney for the Hamm Brewery Company. William held office at the Dayton's Bluff Commercial Club.

This house was identified as a pivotal house in the Dayton's Bluff Historical District. The first floor front porch will be restored to its original historic character. Both electrical and plumbing will be updated. The duplex features nice built-in buffets and hardwood floors. While each level is only a one-bedroom, the rooms are quite large.

This house will soon be moved two blocks north to allow for the future expansion of Metropolitan State University. Upon resettlement, it will be sold as two condominiums.
