 The Beagle Has Landed!

This year's Children's Parade began at the Dayton's Bluff Rec Center and Elementary School.
The Grand Marshal of this year's parade is none other than Explorer Snoopy, sponsored by  Capitol City Partnership Explorer Snoopy's younger brother Thespian Snoopy, shown here with his creator Amy Handford/Cummings, is a beagle of mystery.
Thespian Snoopy remains covered during the parade. His unveiling will take place later in the day at the Summer Fest at Mounds Park. Snoopy rides on a "float" created by Donavan Cummings of Edina Realty. Cummings and the Portage for Youth were co-sponsors of Thespian Snoopy.
Explorer Snoopy travels all over Saint Paul accompanined by is personal chauffeur, Roy Power, and his official waver, Colleen McGinn.
Representatives from the Johnson High School Marching Band got together to march in the parade.
R.O.M.P. (Responsible Owners of Mannerly Pets) brought there canine friends with them.

All Peanuts  figures are Copyright (c) For all Eternity by United Feature Syndicate, Inc., a huge and powerful  corporation that  hopefully wouldn't think of suing a small outfit like this that has no money anyway just  for having a little fun with the Beagle and in the process is producing a great deal or free advertising that will result in even more Snoopy merchandise being sold from which they will receive the profits and we will receive zip.
