The Dayton's Bluff Summer Fest Parade
August 8, 1998

The Summer Fest was preceded by a small but colorful parade that began at Third and Earl and proceeded south along Earl St. to Mounds Park

The children of the Dayton's Bluff Children's Garden were the grand marshals
of the parade.

They made elaborate banners, hats and costumes for the parade.

Here is a close up view of one
of the costumes.
Two kids carry signs made in the shapes
of their favorite garden insects.

Children  representing the Eastside Family Center also marched in the parade.

Descendants of the original Earl family for which Earl St. was named were also in the parade.

What parade would be complete without a twelve-foot Percussion Frog?  Or the Dayton's Bluff Bluffalo?
